LOST - Katrina Dog

I'm looking for my dog Rahiem. Rahiem was lost about a week after Hurricane Katrina when we were detained by the police. We were taken to Opulusa. Rahiem was taken to Lamar-Dixon. That is where we lost track of him.
His stats are as follows:
German Shepherd Mix
57lbs, 13 yrs old, Blonde w/ a black muzzle. Fatty tumors (due to age). He has trouble walking due to a neurological disorder.
Please contact me (by phone) if you have seen him or have any idea of how I can find him. Thanks, Julie 415-760-4376

FOUND

My friend and I found this dog last July.  She was playing tag with the cars on Dairy Ashford, and we knew it was only a matter of time before she lost that dangerous game.

We advertised and put out fliers door-to-door, but no one ever called to claim her.  I put her in my back yard with my two other rescued dogs and started trying to find her a home.  I took her to the vet, had all her shots, had her spayed, and had her chipped, thinking that would certainly make her more adoptable (right word?).  Still no luck.

I'm not very knowledgeable about dogs, but the vet and I think she is full-blooded Black Lab.  She is now about a year old and weighs over 70 pounds.  She has a nice disposition, very friendly, but she doesn't realize how big she is.
